geometries competing in bimanual movements

Posted by JulienLagarde on 27 Aug 2013 at 10:34 GMT

Dear authors,

I was wondering what would be your prediction if one is asked to follow a path with his/her right hand and simultaneously another one with the left hand; paths having distinct radius of curvature relevant to introduce qualitative difference in the frame of your classification (basically one path is more related to one geometry while the other is more related to a distinct geometry). I wonder how the CNS could handle this and whether your theory can take the results into account. This reminds me the empirical stance followed by Kelso et al (1979) experiments with bimanual pointing to explore the bimanuals contraints imposed on the Woodworth- Fitts law.

My best regards,
