The FOSS literature has contained scientific terminology and values for over fifteen years. I'm glad that your article will help to bridge the gap between the practices of scientists and those of programmers dedicated to freedom. Most scientists I've met agree with the ideals of openness and freedom but they just don't know about it: I recently gave a presentation on Open Access and focused on the concept of copyleft, and most people couldn't even understand the word as it came out of my mouth. Your article will help take scientists another step along the way to open journals and free tools for doing research.
