Complex diseases and the cat

Sometimes I feel we are in the dark room with the cat and do not know where it is or if he is dead. Complex diseases are still a subject of debate and analysis but the genotype phenotype relationship is not established. Despite the efforts and dozens of publications we still have a basis on how to operate the additive effects of genes maybe the answer is in the interaction at the level of pathways and metabolites. The article by Kim et al. indicates this possibility, but we must expect more experimental evidence. PC Hidalgo.
