Along those lines, the type of introductory articles such as 'Previews' and 'News and Views' in many top journals are often disconnected from the research article they are supposed to offer a broader context for. Such disconnect could be avoided by having the authors of the research article review the accompanying 'Preview', rather than leaving this responsibility to the editors.
