How can we draw conclusions from such a small sample size?

Thank you for your comment. We agree - and mentioned in the Discussion - that the main limitation of our study is the small sample size. Observing other groups and breeds may provide different results. However, here we demonstrated the possibility of determining dominance rank and personality traits of an individual based only on its logged movement data, and we presented a method which can be applied to other terrestrial species, too. We are collaborating with other dedicated dog owners who have multiple dogs and are also looking forward to getting in touch with more.
